Donating money to the Raft Race, knowing that it will ultimately help to raise more money and contribute to a good cause.
Volunteering Opportunities
Why not volunteer your time to help organize the race?
Details of the various main roles and functions of the Committee are described HERE.
There are lots of different roles you could also perform, even if you do not want to volunteer with the committee and attend meetings.
The race only works well if it has enough people to help:
- distribute leaflets and posters in the weeks and months before the race
- get donations of prizes for the raffle from local business people
- organize the raffle
- help launch the rafts
- help clear up at the end
- help raise money for the event throughout the year in order that it can take place next year to raise a lot more cash for the Town and its folk.
- help with generating exposure and getting more volunteers.
- help with creating and developing a Facebook group dedicated to our glorious event past and present.
